Workflow

There are two workflow roles:

 

Editor Role Steps/Process:

  1. Must Lock to edit data/item or page.
  2. After edits have been made, the item needs to be "checked-in". After the item is "checked-in" it needs to be "submitted". The Approver will receive an email letting them know there is an item to be reviewed. *Note: Data items do not have layouts and therefore can NOT be previewed on their own. Please include the author page URL in the Comments box when submitting the item.
  3. When finished, check "My Items" under the Review tab and "check-in" any items you may have locked or another user won't be able to access/edit those items. The user will see a message stating another user has the item locked. An Admin can override that state and can check-in the item regardless of who has it locked.

 

Approver Role Steps/Process:

  1. Go to the desktop, by clicking on the Rubix cube in the upper left corner of your screen. Then click on Workbox.
  2. Click the checkbox before Wattscom in the box in the upper left corner of the page. You should see a list of items in your Workbox ready for review/approval/edits.
  3. Click on the appropriate link or use the URL in the comment box to review the item.
  4. Click on the appropriate link to either approve and publish the item or send it back with feedback/edits.
